Richard Nilsson is a seasoned entrepreneur and C-suite leader with more than two decades of global experience building, scaling, and transforming businesses across Technology, Media, Hospitality, Pet and Health Care, Lifestyle, and Luxury sectors.

​

As the Founder of RPN CAP, Richard brings a uniquely hands-on, execution-focused approach to deal making and value creation blending strategic insight, operational depth, and cutting-edge digital expertise to drive measurable outcomes for small to mid-market companies.

​

Richard has spent much of his career at the intersection of digital innovation and corporate strategy. His work spans digital transformation programs, AI adoption, GTM acceleration, and large-scale technology modernization for global enterprises and high-growth ventures. His deep digital services expertise includes designing growth-focused digital architectures, building data-driven organizations, and leading complex, multi-market transformation initiatives.

A builder by nature, Richard has founded, owned, and operated ventures across multiple industries, including hospitality concepts, luxury media, and AI-driven technology companies. He co-founded Lifestyle Asia, one of Asia’s first luxury digital media platforms (acquired by Hubert Burda Media), and currently leads MyPetGo, a category-defining AI health and longevity company in the pet tech space. Through Rhino Ventures Global, he has also advised and invested in early-stage innovation with a focus on sustainability and wellness.

Richard has also delivered extensive consulting and strategic advisory work for Hubert Burda Media globally, supporting the company in digital business model innovation, brand modernization, international expansion, and portfolio growth strategies. His work helped drive audience development, content monetization, and digital transformation across multiple markets, strengthening Burda’s global media footprint.

His passion for the luxury and lifestyle industries stems from an appreciation for the craftsmanship, creativity, and human dedication that define them. This sensibility informs his approach to strategy and transformation where understanding brand essence and cultural value is as essential as operational excellence and financial performance.

With a proven track record across M&A, venture building, corporate strategy, digital transformation, and AI-enabled value creation, Richard embodies RPN CAP’s philosophy: working shoulder to shoulder with leadership teams to craft and execute strategies that unlock growth, profitability, and meaningful market impact.

A graduate of the Swedish School of Entrepreneurship, and an alumnus of Harvard Business School and INSEAD, Richard brings a global perspective, deep domain expertise, and a passion for innovation at the intersection of technology, creativity, and commerce.
